Costumed Figure Drawing
Join us on Saturday, September 18th for a free Figure Drawing opportunity at the Prairie Arts Center! We will provide a live model dressed in a fun theatrical costume, provided by Jason Estala from the OSU Theatre Department. Plenty of sketch paper, charcoal, and pencils will be on hand, or feel free to bring your own supplies. Standing and tabletop easels will also be provided. All you have to do is draw! We encourage participants young and old, experienced and novice, to join us for this inspired community event. April Dawes, who leads our weekly figure drawing class, will be available for questions and will be working with the model on poses.  

Join us on Saturday, July 24th from 10-noon for a fun, free, and family friendly art activity! This month we are offering the exciting visual experience of spin art. Come choose your colors and watch the magic happen. Leave with a set of artful postcards to send to friends or family! 

On June 26th, join us for our monthly FREE community arts activity! This month we will be decoupaging stoneware coasters with vintage images of fruits and veggies. This is a drop in activity for any age or skill level and will be offered from 10am-noon. Come shop the Stillwater Farmer's Market and take away a unique art object inspired by our local growers!

Sundaes on Sunday Fundraiser will be the afternoon of Sunday, April 18th from 1pm - 3pm. We will be selling handmade ceramic bowls donated from local artists. This year we are unable to fill them up with a Sundae, but we will have $1.00 off coupons to Marble Slab available. All proceeds will go to art programming at the Prairie Arts Center.

We will have all the supplies set up and a staff member on hand to help you make a delicious ice cream cone balloon print to take home with your sundae bowl. Join us on Saturday, March 27th for a fun, free, and family friendly sun printing activity! Take a break from shopping our fabulous artist Pop Up shops to be an artist yourself. Choose from a variety of pressed botanicals and other artful, small forms to make your unique and interesting compositions. We've never met anyone, young or old, that isn't at least a little in love with this process and the heavenly blue results. All supplies are provided and there will be an instructor on hand to demonstrate and answer any questions.
